Question. Brass stores memories. When compounding you burn the metal while storing to get more out of it. What happens if you store memory while burning Brass? Are the memories clearer? How does the mental metals compound?

Wow this is so much! I am such a noob. But when referencing zahel and loosing his mind/memories to time, this is why the heralds go crazy but Hoid kept his memories because he stored them in his breaths right? So zahel could do the same thing

I first got into Stormlight only a few months ago, currently in Oathbringer. What’s so great about Stormlight Archive and the Cosmere as a whole really is the fanart. This may be an unpopular opinion, but I’ve never been too impressed in how Brandon describes his characters and setting. He’s amazing with storytelling and Worldbuilding n whatnot, but as far as like prose and giving these characters imaginative appearances n whatnot? They always feel kinda basic. There’s a ton of Kaladin fanart, but most of it didn’t really match how I viewed the character. A lot of it depicted him as some tall chiseled warrior, which isn’t too far from the truth, but he’s like 19 in Way of Kings and in his very early 20s in books 2 and 3 and 4. It was Lamaery’s artwork that really brought these characters and worlds to life for me. She drew them exactly how I’d imagine them to look- and Brandon too I’m sure of. I love the shapes and textures she uses for them, giving it a painterly style that feels like it could belong in an animated movie. She adds such personality and charm to them, making them look and feel like dynamic people than just stereotypical warriors such as giving Kaladin an oval shaped head and having Dalinar be built like a fridge lol

Is there any downloadable version? I'd love to be able to listen to this in my car.

Sanderson has mentioned the second arc (after book 5) will go back to being shorter, like the first book, and slowly gain length throughout the second arc of Stormlight

Now that Sanderson has officially announced he's working on the white sand prose version, will this make the graphic novel obsolete or will both of them still be canon. By the way I've only read the final Empire so please no spoilers.

Though, Shinovar is in trouble now because of the Everstorm, which blows on the opposite direction, and brings the Fused back to life every time it passes. Shinovar is defenseless against a storm coming from the other way, let alone one that brings demonic Singers with it each time

I couldn't agree more, her work is beautiful! I think it's a fantastic idea to have an artist spotlight series. The cosmere fandom has some seriously talented individuals and it's amazing to see their work make its way into the leather bounds and beyond!

I love Lamaery's depiction of Dalinar's big scene in Oathbringer. I've sent it to everyone I know regardless of whether they've read the cosmere or not.

I personally like the drawings of Shuravf in the Coppermind. His depictions of the characters is top notch quality in my opinion

I have a theory about mistborn that cane from RoW. After learning of the way tones can act as an emulsifier for different Lights I started thinking about Harmony. Now, Sazed purposefully keeps the shardic powers from mixing and it's been slowly ripping him apart right? Could there be a hybrid tone of Attrition or Entropy or Balance that could help him wild both without negative effects? That being said, what could generate such a tone. Navani and Roboniel only made it in small amounts when working together. Maybe in the future, a certain Kandra may return to Harmony as a Dawnshard and act as an emulsifier to hold him together

This guy must be Sazeb. That is the only logical reason for how he can store all this information.

I personally disagree with how Sanderson has described Cadmium and Bendalloy. If you pull time into yourself, you should have a surplus of time and be and to move faster. Likewise if you push time away or exclude it, you should be slower. His description of push pull would* be accurate if they were instead pulling on gravity and not time. If you sit at the bottom of a gravity well, time would slow. (This might be a revelation he does for Era 4..... Warp bubbles)

I read all of part 5 of Oathbringer in 1 day. To think that it is equivalent to almost 400 pages in a book like Dawnshard is crazy. Love this book

I have listened to this twice now using Speechify voices, so this was a really nice change of pace.
